Oxford Lane 5

The last stretch of the Oxford Lane, to Stanton St. John, is all tarmac and of little interest.  I was hoping for a surprise at SP 602 103, where five ways meet at the Menmarsh Guide Post.  But MGP is no longer there (Fig.1).  Who pinched it?

So we walked on to Stanton.  It's a busy village on the Islip bypass, which was part of the old London-Aberystwyth road.  (Fig.2)

Maybe something will turn up on our next visit.  A guidepost, even.
